Around White Bear Lake you find older lake homes, mid-century ramblers and larger homes along the shore in Dellwood and Mahtomedi. Older homes often need more than new finishes: updated plumbing and wiring, and kitchens and bathrooms that fit how families live now. We are a licensed general contractor based in nearby Maplewood, and one crew handles the whole project.
Services: kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement finishing and decks.
We walk through the space, measure, and give you a written estimate.
Once you accept the estimate, we sign a contract and set your start date.
We pull the permits, then our crew handles the trades: demolition, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and finishes.
We clean up every day and haul away the debris when the job is done.
Lastly, we walk through the finished space with you for approval before we collect the final payment.
Because an older home deserves a remodel done by the book.
As a general contractor, we understand that most projects involve tasks from various disciplines, and we do them all. You won't have to hire a separate contractor for anything.
Our general contractor will work closely with you to bring your dreams to life. He will spend as much time as needed to help you choose the materials and finishes.
We are a licensed contractor (MN BC751359) and insured, and so are all of our subcontractors. We do everything by the book. You'll never worry about permits or regulations.

We have used Morning Star to essentially remodel our whole home, including: flooring our entire home, completely renovating 2 full bathrooms, and constructing a banister for our entry. Morning Star is very reasonably priced, professional, on time, and provides great workmanship. We have recommended to all of our friends, who have since hired them to do multiple projects and share our sentiments on this being an incredible company to hire. 5 stars, for sure!
Morning Star is by far the BEST and most PROFESSIONAL contractor we’ve worked with. The project manager kept us updated daily of the work that was about to be done, needed to be done and what to expect. Completion was delivered as promised. Their contractors are friendly, focused and professional. The quality of the work was great! We had to have some plumbing done and it’s been great. We haven’t had any issues and love our new bathroom! I highly recommend Morning Star. We will back back to do our main bathroom and kitchen!
The guys from Morning Star Remodeling have treated me very well, they were very attentive, I requested a quote on their website, in a few hours they contacted me to request an appointment, then they sent me the budget and we have dealt with it in person. My house couldn't be in better hands. Bathroom and kitchen were beautiful. I totally recommend it 5 stars to you guys.
